About the Role:

We are in search of a seasoned and strategic ERP Transformation Programme Director to spearhead the global ERP transformation effort. This position is vital for ensuring the effective execution of the ERP initiative, which is a cornerstone of the company's extensive digital transformation strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a solid history of managing large-scale ERP deployments and significant experience as a senior leader in digital transformation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Programme Leadership:
  • Provide strategic oversight and direction for the entire ERP transformation initiative, ensuring it aligns with the organization’s overarching digital transformation objectives.
  • Supervise the planning, execution, and delivery of the ERP initiative, managing project scope, budget, timelines, and resources effectively.
  • Lead a diverse team, including project managers, business analysts, IT professionals, and external vendors, to meet programme goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
  • Collaborate with senior executives, including the CIO, CFO, and business unit leaders, to ensure alignment and support for the ERP transformation.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for all programme-related communications, providing consistent updates on progress, risks, and challenges.
  • Manage relationships with external partners and vendors, ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and quality expectations.
  • Strategic Planning and Execution:
  • Formulate and implement a comprehensive ERP transformation strategy that aligns with the company’s business goals and future aspirations.
  • Identify and address risks throughout the programme lifecycle, ensuring contingency plans are established for potential challenges.
  • Ensure the programme yields measurable business advantages, including operational efficiencies, cost reductions, and improved data analytics capabilities.
  • Change Management:
  • Lead the change management strategy to guarantee successful adoption of the new ERP system across the organization.
  • Collaborate with HR and communication teams to design and implement training and communication strategies that facilitate the transition to the new ERP system.
  • Mitigate resistance to change by promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Financial Oversight:
  • Develop and oversee the programme budget, ensuring all expenditures are monitored, controlled, and aligned with financial projections.
  • Provide financial oversight, including cost-benefit analysis, to ensure the programme delivers value and meets return on investment targets.
  • Report on financial performance to senior management, highlighting key financial indicators and any deviations from the plan.
  • Quality Assurance and Governance:
  • Establish robust governance frameworks to ensure all aspects of the ERP transformation are executed to the highest standards.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies throughout the programme.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and audits of programme activities to ensure quality and compliance with established standards.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • At least 15 years of experience in IT or business transformation roles, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior leadership capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in leading large-scale ERP implementations (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) within a global, multi-site organization.
  • Extensive experience as a senior stakeholder in digital transformation projects, with a comprehensive understanding of how ERP systems integrate with broader digital strategies.
  • Proven ability to manage complex budgets and deliver programmes on schedule and within financial constraints.

Technical Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of ERP systems, including their architecture, modules, and integration capabilities.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based ERP solutions and emerging technologies such as AI, IoT, and blockchain in relation to ERP systems.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) and tools (e.g., MS Project, JIRA).

Leadership and Interpersonal Skills:

  • Outstanding leadership abilities with the capacity to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the capability to influence at all organizational levels.
  • Experience in driving change management and cultivating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • An MBA or other advanced degree is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) are highly desirable.
