Microsoft Azure Solutions Specialist

Role Responsibilities:

The Solutions Specialist is tasked with designing and implementing innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. This individual should thrive in an agile environment and identify opportunities for the Azure practice, both within KPMG and in client settings. The role requires effective communication of Azure services and solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, emphasizing the business benefits to stimulate growth for the Azure practice. The Solutions Specialist will collaborate with clients, oversee technical teams during project execution, and serve as the Technical Design Authority (TDA) for projects.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Collaborating with clients to develop their Microsoft cloud adoption strategies. Leading cloud-focused engagements. Designing high-level architectural frameworks based on client specifications for infrastructure and applications. Delivering product presentations and tailored demonstrations to validate our capacity to meet prospective clients' cloud adoption requirements. Acting as the Technical Design Authority on projects in conjunction with Technical Architects. Providing governance on projects and mentoring team members. Showcasing our offerings to clients through online webinars and in-person workshops. Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure comprehensive understanding of our solutions across the firm. Maintaining long-term relationships with clients to promote Microsoft Azure adoption. Developing marketing collateral and go-to-market strategies to enhance our marketplace presence. Collaborating on proposals and Requests for Information (RFIs) with sales and pre-sales teams. Keeping technical knowledge current by working closely with our Microsoft account teams. Assisting in the recruitment process for the team. Proposing and developing new intellectual property for products and services related to go-to-market initiatives. Serving as a Technical Lead for specific domains within the cloud capability. Essential Technical Skills Required:

Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects (Cloud Adoption, Landing Zone design and deployment, Cloud Migration, Cloud Readiness, Cloud Maturity). Strong background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications. Proven expertise with Azure IaaS (virtual machines, storage, networking, security). Experience with Azure Backup & Recovery Services. Familiarity with Azure Governance (Blueprints, policies, tagging, cost management). Proficient in Azure SQL Databases (Managed Instances, PaaS, IaaS). Knowledge of Azure Security (Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure AD, AIP). Experience with Azure Serverless and integration (Batch, Function, Logic Apps, EventGrid). Proficient in Azure Containers (AKS, ACI, ACR). Experience with Active Directory (Azure AD, Azure AD DS, on-premises AD DS). Familiarity with Windows Server/Linux OS. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell). Proven experience in Solution Architecture (Cloud, Security, Hybrid). Familiarity with Microsoft 365, migrations, and security. Preferred Qualifications:

Azure Migration expertise. Knowledge of Azure Security. Data Migration experience. Familiarity with SAP on Azure. Integration Architecture experience. Data Architecture knowledge. The ideal candidate should possess 12+ years of experience in cloud or infrastructure delivery and demonstrate:

The ability to build and nurture strong relationships while showcasing technical and operational leadership to deliver quality, client-focused solutions using Microsoft technologies. Expertise in managing the architecture, preparation, and delivery of large-scale projects and engagements. A commitment to fostering innovation both within the firm and with clients, while taking a proactive role in developing team members and promoting collaboration among larger teams. Advanced technical knowledge, direction, and training capabilities for others, along with participation in team practice decisions such as resource allocation, recruitment, and training. Experience in data center transformation, including the migration of applications, virtual machines, and databases. Proven experience leading client engagements and managing technical teams. Knowledge of modernizing applications and processes using the Azure platform and technologies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage a range of relationships in complex environments. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening), with the ability to present information clearly and effectively to all levels. The capability to produce high-quality and professional presentations. Attention to detail and the ability to ensure consistency in language, terminology, and style across documents. A flexible approach to work, focusing on meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards. The ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion. Experience engaging with C-level stakeholders.
