Azure Solutions Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

The Azure Solutions Engineer will be tasked with designing and implementing innovative solutions tailored to our clients' needs. This role requires agility and the ability to identify growth opportunities for the Azure practice, both internally and within client environments. The individual should be adept at presenting Azure services and solutions to diverse audiences, articulating the business benefits to foster growth within the Azure practice. The Azure Solutions Engineer will collaborate with clients, oversee technical teams during project execution, and act as the Technical Design Authority (TDA) for various initiatives.

The Azure Solutions Engineer will be accountable for:

Collaborating with clients to define their Microsoft cloud adoption strategies. Leading cloud-focused engagements. Developing high-level architectural designs based on client specifications for infrastructure and applications. Delivering product presentations and tailored demonstrations to showcase our capability in addressing clients' cloud adoption requirements. Serving as the Technical Design Authority on projects in conjunction with Technical Architects. Providing governance to projects and mentoring team members. Presenting our offerings to clients through online webinars and in-person workshops. Engaging with KPMG stakeholders to ensure our solutions are well understood across the organization. Building long-term relationships with clients to drive Microsoft Azure adoption. Creating marketing collateral and go-to-market strategies to enhance our marketplace presence. Collaborating on proposals and Requests for Information (RFIs) with sales and pre-sales teams. Keeping technical knowledge current by working closely with our Microsoft account teams. Assisting in the recruitment process for the team. Proposing and developing new intellectual property for products and services related to go-to-market initiatives. Acting as a Technical Lead for specific domains within the cloud capability. Essential Technical Expertise Required:

Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects (Cloud Adoption, Landing Zone design and deployment, Cloud Migration, Cloud Readiness, Cloud Maturity). Strong background in on-premises infrastructure, virtualization technologies, or applications. Proven experience with Azure IaaS (virtual machines, storage, networking, security). Familiarity with Azure Backup & Recovery Services. Knowledge of Azure Governance (Blueprints, policies, tagging, cost management). Experience with Azure SQL Databases (Managed Instances, PaaS, IaaS). Understanding of Azure Security (Zero Trust, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel, Azure AD, AIP). Proficiency with Azure Serverless and integration (Batch, Function, Logic Apps, EventGrid). Experience with Azure Containers (AKS, ACI, ACR). Familiarity with Active Directory (Azure AD, Azure AD DS, on-premises AD DS). Knowledge of Windows Server/Linux OS. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (ARM, Bicep, Terraform, PowerShell). Proven experience in Solution Architecture (Cloud, Security, Hybrid). Familiarity with Microsoft 365, migrations, and security. Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to build and maintain strong relationships while providing technical and operational leadership to deliver quality, client-focused solutions using Microsoft technologies. Experience managing the architecture, preparation, and delivery of large-scale projects and engagements. A commitment to innovation both within the firm and with clients, fostering team member development and promoting collaboration across larger teams. Advanced technical knowledge, providing direction and training to others while participating in team practice decisions such as resource allocation, recruitment, and training. Experience in data center transformation, including the migration of applications, virtual machines, and databases. Proven ability to lead client engagements and manage technical teams. Knowledge of modernizing applications and processes using the Azure platform and technologies. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and manage a range of relationships in complex environments. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and listening) with the ability to present information clearly and concisely to all levels. Capability to produce high-quality, professional presentations. Attention to detail and consistency in language, terminology, and style across documents. A flexible approach to work with a focus on delivering high standards and meeting deadlines. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Proficiency in engaging with C-level stakeholders.
