London, Greater London, United Kingdom Save the Children Full time

We are seeking a Talent Acquisition Business Partner to become a part of our team at Save the Children UK on a fixed-term contract.

If you are a seasoned recruitment expert eager for a role that offers genuine responsibility and the chance to make a significant difference, we would be delighted to connect with you.

About Us

At Save the Children UK, we hold the belief that every child deserves a promising future. Across the UK and globally, we dedicate ourselves daily to ensuring children have a healthy start in life, access to education, and protection from harm. In times of crisis, we are among the first to respond and the last to depart, ensuring that children's unique needs are addressed and their voices are amplified. We strive to achieve lasting outcomes for millions of children, including those who are hardest to reach.

About the Role

As a Talent Acquisition Business Partner, you will join a team of self-directed professionals to help shape and lead the execution of Save the Children UK's recruitment strategy, offering expert advice in talent acquisition, selection, and evaluation.

Your responsibilities will include managing the complete recruitment process for your designated internal client groups, ensuring the identification and selection of top-tier talent to maximize our impact for children.

You will collaborate closely with hiring managers at various levels, enhancing their recruitment capabilities through coaching, teamwork, and training delivery when necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Integrate Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion into the recruitment process by formulating and executing strategies to attract candidates from underrepresented groups, in alignment with our DEI strategy and organizational objectives, while partnering with the DEI team to implement inclusive recruitment initiatives.
  • Establish strong relationships with internal stakeholders to promote a collaborative approach to talent acquisition, fostering an adult-to-adult mindset.
  • Lead and participate in recruitment projects, including the adoption of innovative technologies, process enhancements, and new recruitment methodologies.
  • Implement new recruitment initiatives organization-wide by effectively communicating changes and influencing key stakeholders to embrace new practices.
  • Adopt a data-driven approach to recruitment; develop and monitor key performance indicators, analyzing recruitment metrics to inform talent acquisition strategies and enhance recruitment processes.

About You

You will be an accomplished recruiter committed to providing an outstanding experience for both candidates and hiring managers, enthusiastic about developing new initiatives and improving processes throughout the recruitment journey.

Excited by the prospect of working within a self-managing team structure, you will demonstrate high levels of self-management, accountability, adaptability, and resilience, along with excellent interpersonal skills.

To be successful, you will need to demonstrate:

  • Extensive experience in leading high-volume in-house recruitment across various functions and levels (experience in marketing, fundraising, and philanthropy recruitment is advantageous but not mandatory).
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven history of partnering with leaders to effectively align talent with their requirements, and a track record of advising and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Demonstrable experience in integrating DEI into recruitment initiatives.
  • Proven capability in identifying and sourcing top-tier talent through diverse sourcing methods and channels, including job boards, social media, professional networking, and direct outreach.
  • Evidence of building relationships with candidates, including talent pipelining for future requirements.
  • The ability to analyze and present data related to recruitment metrics, such as time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, and candidate conversion rates to guide recruitment strategy.
  • Evidence of aligning talent acquisition initiatives with a holistic view of talent processes, ensuring all are cohesive and contribute to our overall People agenda, DEI strategy, and broader organizational goals.
  • A proven track record of managing multiple recruitment projects/initiatives concurrently while understanding agile principles.
  • Commitment to ensuring an excellent candidate and hiring manager experience, with experience in delivering improvement initiatives in these areas.
  • A strong commitment to Save the Children's vision, mission, and values.

What We Offer You:

Working for a charitable organization provides one of the most rewarding benefits – a sense of purpose in helping others. We also recognize the importance of supporting our employees to ensure a fulfilling and healthy work environment and work-life balance.

  • We prioritize flexibility, inclusion, collaboration, health, and well-being both in and out of the workplace.
  • We offer a comprehensive range of benefits designed to reward your dedication, motivate you, and inspire you to improve the lives of children every day.
