Position Overview:

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to enhance our Patient Access Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Contact Centre Senior and manage all outpatient scheduling tasks. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and be a flexible team player, serving as the primary contact for all outpatient inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure efficient and customer-focused outpatient booking services by facilitating all scheduling needs.
  • Proactively engage with patients to complete outstanding registration data within established timelines.
  • Accurately gather demographic and financial information required for outpatient visits.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Provide cost estimates to self-paying patients and collect payments when necessary.
  • Encourage patients to utilize the CCL MyChart App for managing their personal information.
  • Assign incomplete bookings to the pre-registration work queue for follow-up.
  • Maintain effective communication with clinical departments to ensure seamless scheduling workflows.
  • Participate in cross-training across various Patient Access areas as needed.
  • Adhere to hospital policies and procedures, particularly regarding attendance, confidentiality, and professional appearance.
  • Complete mandatory training to uphold departmental competencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or contact centre is preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient booking systems and hospital software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and support team objectives.
  • Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
