Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all scheduling needs to deliver a highly efficient, patient-centered outpatient booking service.
  • Proactively engage with patients to ensure all outstanding registration data is collected and scheduling is completed within established timelines.
  • Accurately gather demographic and financial information.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers and other payers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients and collect payments as required.
  • Encourage patients to enroll in the CCL MyChart App for managing their financial and demographic details.
  • Assign incomplete bookings to the pre-registration work queue for resolution.
  • Collaborate with clinical departments to maintain correct scheduling workflows.
  • Communicate effectively with relevant clinical departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Participate in cross-training across all areas of Patient Access as needed.
  • Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, focusing on attendance, confidentiality, dress code, and ID badge display.
  • Complete mandatory training to uphold organizational and departmental competencies.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a healthcare setting or contact center is preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient booking systems in a hospital environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and support team objectives.
  • Capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
