Role Overview:

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to enhance our Patient Access Team. This pivotal role is focused on providing a welcoming atmosphere for all outpatients upon their arrival. You will play a key part in ensuring an outstanding patient experience by facilitating the registration process and addressing any inquiries regarding their visit.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all outpatients and visitors to Cleveland Clinic London.
  • Assist with both same-day and future appointment requests and referrals.
  • Ensure all necessary patient demographic and financial information is collected at check-in.
  • Support patient check-in processes as needed.
  • Coordinate with insurance companies and third-party payers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Process payments using Cleveland Clinic London's integrated payment systems.
  • Manage cash drawer operations and adhere to cash management policies.
  • Provide cost estimates for self-pay patients.
  • Encourage patients to utilize the CCL MyChart App for managing their healthcare information.
  • Communicate effectively with various departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
  • Participate in cross-training across all areas of Patient Access.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Team Dynamics:

The Patient Access Department operates as a cohesive unit, and you may be required to assist in various functions, both patient-facing and non-patient-facing, including:

  • Contact Centre
  • Patient Registration
  • Cashiering
  • Pre-Registration

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with patient booking systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.) is required.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and work collaboratively within a team.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
