Role Overview:
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to enhance our Patient Access Team. This role is pivotal in providing a welcoming atmosphere for all outpatients upon their arrival. You will be guided by the Registration/Admissions Supervisor and will play a key role in ensuring an outstanding patient experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all outpatients and visitors, ensuring a friendly and professional environment.
- Facilitate appointment requests and referrals, both in-person and for future visits.
- Ensure all necessary patient demographic and financial information is gathered at check-in.
- Assist with patient check-in processes as needed.
- Communicate with insurance companies and third-party payers to secure relevant authorizations.
- Manage payment collections using integrated payment systems.
- Oversee cash drawer management and adhere to cash reconciliation policies.
- Provide cost estimates for self-pay patients.
- Encourage patients to utilize the CCL MyChart App for managing their healthcare information.
- Collaborate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless patient journey.
- Cross-train in various Patient Access functions as required.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient booking systems is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and support team objectives.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively.
