Role Overview:
Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to enhance our Patient Access Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a warm and professional welcome to all outpatients upon their arrival.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome all outpatients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Facilitate both same-day and future appointment requests efficiently.
- Verify and complete all necessary patient demographic and financial information at check-in.
- Assist with patient check-in processes as needed.
- Coordinate with insurance providers to secure necessary authorizations.
- Manage payment collections using integrated systems.
- Oversee cash drawer operations, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
- Provide cost estimates for self-pay patients.
- Encourage patients to utilize the CCL MyChart App for managing their healthcare information.
- Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Participate in cross-training across various Patient Access functions.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Team Collaboration:
The Patient Access Department operates as a cohesive unit. You may be required to support various functions, both patient-facing and administrative, including:
- Contact Centre
- Patient Registration
- Cashiering
- Pre-Registration
Qualifications:
- Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
- Familiarity with hospital booking systems is advantageous.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and work collaboratively.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
