Role Overview:

Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Registration Officer to enhance our Patient Access Team. This role is pivotal in ensuring a warm and professional welcome to all outpatients upon their arrival.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Welcome all outpatients and visitors, ensuring a positive first impression.
  • Facilitate both same-day and future appointment requests efficiently.
  • Verify and complete all necessary patient demographic and financial information at check-in.
  • Assist with patient check-in processes as needed.
  • Coordinate with insurance providers to secure necessary authorizations.
  • Manage payment collections using integrated systems.
  • Oversee cash drawer operations, ensuring compliance with financial policies.
  • Provide cost estimates for self-pay patients.
  • Encourage patients to utilize the CCL MyChart App for managing their healthcare information.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
  • Participate in cross-training across various Patient Access functions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Team Collaboration:

The Patient Access Department operates as a cohesive unit. You may be required to support various functions, both patient-facing and administrative, including:

  • Contact Centre
  • Patient Registration
  • Cashiering
  • Pre-Registration

Qualifications:

  • Experience in a patient-facing role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hospital booking systems is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new challenges and work collaboratively.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team.
