Cleveland Clinic London is seeking a dedicated Patient Access Specialist to enhance our Patient Access Team. This role involves collaborating closely with the Contact Centre Senior to manage all outpatient scheduling tasks. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional communication skills and be a flexible team player, serving as the initial point of contact for outpatient inquiries. You will be tasked with the precise and timely gathering of all necessary demographic and financial information prior to patient visits, ensuring outstanding customer service in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all scheduling needs to deliver a highly efficient, patient-centered outpatient booking service.
- Proactively engage with patients to ensure all outstanding registration information is collected and scheduling is completed within designated timeframes.
- Accurately gather and maintain demographic and financial details.
- Coordinate with insurance providers and other payers to secure necessary authorizations.
- Provide cost estimates to self-pay patients and collect payments when applicable.
- Encourage patients to register for the CCL MyChart App, allowing them to manage their financial and demographic information.
- Assign incomplete bookings to the pre-registration work queue for resolution.
- Collaborate with relevant clinical departments to uphold correct scheduling workflows.
- Communicate effectively with other clinical departments to ensure a seamless patient experience.
- Participate in cross-training across all areas of Patient Access as needed.
- Adhere to hospital and departmental policies, particularly regarding attendance, confidentiality, and professional appearance.
- Complete mandatory training to maintain required competencies.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Experience in a healthcare environment or contact centre is preferred.
- Familiarity with patient booking systems in a hospital setting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
- Exceptional customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to new challenges and support team objectives.
- Capable of working both independently and collaboratively within a team.
