Job Summary

We have a unique and exciting opportunity for a proactive and enthusiastic event professional to join Imperial College Business School as an Events Officer working across the Marketing, Recruitment and Admissions teams.

Our campus, hybrid and online events aim to attract and inspire the best and brightest students across the globe to join Imperial College Business School. Sitting within the wider Marketing team, this position plays a critical role in the planning and execution of a wide variety of recruitment events across the portfolio of MBA and MSc programmes.

The post holder therefore requires an excellent track record of delivering events in addition to having a hands-on and collaborative approach, a drive to explore new and innovative ideas, and an adaptable approach.

Duties and responsibilities

Reporting to the Events Manager, you will have a wide variety of responsibilities to support the events strategy.

You will:

  • Provide end-to-end logistics for a variety of event formats, ensuring effective delivery, meets the recruitment objectives and kept within budget
  • Be the first point of contact, dealing with event enquiries and provide a high level of customer service to prospective and admitted students
  • Arrange event materials and resources that are on brand and add value
  • Advertise event pages, manage event platforms and update the CRM system
  • Be responsible for providing clear communication and updates to internal stakeholders, external suppliers, event registrants and attendees

Essential requirements

In order to be successful for this role you will need to have:

  • Proven events experience and a passion for designing new initiatives
  • Effective in building strong relationships with a wide variety of stakeholders
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple projects
  • Solution orientated and confident in handling last minute requests or adjustments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to present to a range of audiences
  • Excellent administrative and organisation skills with a great attention to detail
  • Experience of using CRM systems or event platforms

Further Information

This is a full time, permanent position.

All appointments will normally be made at the bottom of the salary range.
