The perfect candidate will have prior experience in staffing large-scale events, Stadia, or Sporting venues, with a proven track record in managing significant numbers of casual teams, ideally across multiple venues.
YOUR ROLE
As a Staffing Manager at Shack Events, you will oversee the deployment of casual staff at designated venues across the UK.
Your responsibilities will include ensuring that the right personnel are assigned to each event, that relevant training is conducted to a high standard, and that all casual staff receive adequate support throughout their time with Shack.
You will play a pivotal role in recruiting, onboarding, training, scheduling, and managing the performance of our event staff.
YOUR TEAM
Reporting directly to our People Operations Manager and collaborating with our Senior Staffing Manager, you will be part of a dedicated team led by our Head of People.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is based out of our London office, with travel required to various venues for events and training sessions.
Due to the nature of the events industry, weekend work is common, supported by our TOIL scheme.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recruitment and Onboarding: Lead group interviews and engage with new hires.
- Talent Identification: We believe in building our recruitment pipeline from the ground up.
- Training and Development: Assist in delivering training programs to equip event staff with essential skills and knowledge.
- Event Staffing Fulfillment: Ensure appropriate staffing for your venues is your primary responsibility.
- Event Day Administration: Manage venue-related administration, particularly concerning security protocols.
- Compliance and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of staff details, adhering to GDPR policies and procedures.
- Post-Event Evaluation: Conduct debriefs with event managers to assess staffing operations, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future events.
EVENT DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
- On-Site Management: Oversee the deployment of event staff, ensuring punctuality and adherence to uniform and presentation standards.
- Staff Coordination: Collaborate with event managers to assign staff to their respective roles, adjusting as necessary to meet event demands.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as a point of contact for event staff regarding any issues, providing timely solutions to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Support: Offer support and assistance to event staff as needed, demonstrating leadership and teamwork to ensure event success.
