Our client is seeking a hands-on Customer Service Manager to oversee a customer service team and ensure a seamless journey for their clients from the initial enquiry through to invoicing. The successful candidate will lead a team of four, manage delivery issues, generate quotes, liaise with the transport department, and support the commercial sales team with account management and upselling while delivering clients' SLA's.

Please Note: This is not a Hybrid role.

Key Responsibilities:Team Leadership: Oversee and motivate a customer service team of four, ensuring high levels of performance and professional development.Client Journey Management: Ensure a seamless customer experience from initial enquiry to invoicing, resolving any issues that arise promptly and efficiently.Delivery Issue Resolution: Proactively manage and resolve delivery issues, liaising with the transport department to ensure timely and effective solutions.Quote Generation: Generate accurate and competitive quotes for clients, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Account Management: Support the commercial sales team in managing client accounts, identifying opportunities for upselling and ensuring customer satisfaction.Collaboration: Work closely with the transport department and other internal teams to streamline processes and enhance service delivery.Reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare regular reports on customer service performance, delivery issues, and other key metrics.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a customer service management role, preferably within the logistics industry.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Proficiency in using customer service software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience in logistics or supply chain management.
  • Knowledge of the UK and EU logistics markets.
  • Sales and account management experience advantageous.
