The project:
A major London based infrastructure programme is being mobilised to deliver the capacity and capability required to meet growing demand, in line with a commitment to a long-term sustainable future. The objectives of the programme are to progress the delivery of additional capacity to accommodate long-term demand growth in line with decarbonisation goals, create resilient assets and optimise operations against the backdrop of a live operating asset. This is a significant infrastructure programme for a prestigious and ambitious client, offering significant potential for professional growth over the duration of the programme.

The MarComms lead will be the main Marcomms contact for their respective hub or market. They will work across the hub/market to ensure the Mace brand is positioned, protected and promoted in accordance with the market leader aspiration. Leads the activity within the engine to support growth plans across diverse markets, sectors and services in line with the strategy. Translates business strategy in to marketing and communications plans and campaigns that deliver results for the business. Acts as the voice of the hub or market within the marketing and communications team, ensuring that the needs of the hub or market are fully represented. Works with the MarComms channel owners to ensure that their AOR (area of responsibility) is adequately performing across the channels. Provides regular performance reports back to stakeholders while continually looking for ways to optimise the channels to ensure they are reaching their target audience.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Develops and delivers an annual marketing strategy and plan for your AOR (area of responsibility).
  • Supports the hub/market to achieve its business plan.
  • Protects, positions and promotes the Mace brand.
  • Develops and implements integrated campaigns including activities such as content development, event management, thought leadership and demonstrating return on investment (ROI).
  • Promotes the priority themes and differentiators internally across the engine and externally to our clients and targets - priority themes and areas will vary dependent on the strategy evolves, individual strategies and group priorities.
  • Champions ABM (account-based marketing) ensuring an annual targeted plan for those organisations.
  • Keeps abreast of market developments and trends.
  • Undertakes research to provide relevant insights and analysis to the business.
  • Provides marketing support for key strategic bids and work on capture plans where appropriate.
  • Works with sector business unit to develop and implement CRM.
  • Ensures the adherence to Mace brand guidelines or any agreed bid-specific standards.
  • Acts as the main ambassador for marketing.
  • Advises the hub/market senior leadership team (SLT) on all MarComms activity.
  • Identifies leads and opportunities, supporting the business to secure the opportunity.
  • Provides Marketing and communications business partnering and advisory services to BUs and support with plans to deliver growth against business priorities.
  • Delivers of global/market/sector driven campaigns.
  • Supports with market intelligence and insights across hubs, markets and geographies.
  • Provides strategic client engagement on key projects and programmes within area of responsibility and focus.
  • Develops new value propositions at market/sector/hub level.
  • Works with the digital marketing team to develop targeted campaigns to drive brand awareness and lead generation.
  • Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.
