Arla Foods are looking for a Site Services Manager to join the Operations team at our Hatfield site.

What will the role involve?

As a Site Services Manager, you will execute operational plans and deliver high-profile or specialist projects with a direct impact on functional success. You will challenge existing processes and practices, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement. This role demands a proactive approach to managing site services, ensuring efficiency, safety, and excellence in all operations.

Key responsibilities include

  • Oversee staff and budget planning to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Assist in the development of functional strategies and the implementation of projects and concepts.
  • Lead, coach, and develop facility team members to enhance performance and professional growth.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and vendors to ensure continuous quality and cost efficiency.
  • Draft, finalize, and manage contracts with suppliers.
  • Manage the operation and maintenance of local locations and sites, including:
  • Canteen services
  • Cleaning services
  • Security measures
  • Space management
  • Maintenance tasks
  • Service agreements
  • Fire protection
  • Plant care and external services
  • Internal services
  • Oversee the CAPEX process, including idea generation, budget planning, and project management.

What you'll need in order to be successful in the role

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Proven previous Facilities/ Site Services Manager experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong time management
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • High levels of enthusiasm and a positive attitude to change and problem solving
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
