Client Affairs Administrator

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the busy Client Affairs Team within the Adult Social Care service, who provide a specialist function responsible for the delegated management of customer finances as directed by the Court of Protection and the Department for Work and Pensions.
The postholder will administer individual customers finances and make financial decisions on their behalf, that they are unable to make for themselves. Taking a holistic, person-centred approach.
This will include the day-to-day management of customers finances, including claiming Department for work and pensions means and needs tested benefits, whilst considering long term financial requirements.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of Adult Social Care. Be able to demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, the role includes direct contact with customers, their families and care professionals.
Relevant experience of working within a social care environment and/or personal financial management would be advantageous.
You will be self-motivated and able to work under pressure to strict deadlines.
Working as part of a team and on your own initiative, you will need to plan, organise and prioritise your own work and take an appropriate level of responsibility in identifying problems and providing solutions.
