Safety Net is a charitable organization dedicated to aiding the recovery of individuals impacted by sexual violence, exploitation, and domestic abuse throughout the region.

We provide comprehensive support services, including guidance, counseling, therapy, and group sessions for adults, children, and young people affected by trauma.

This position is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of our services, with a strong emphasis on overseeing daily administrative tasks and enhancing service delivery.


Administrative Management:
Deliver exceptional administrative assistance to the Safety Net team. Collaborate with the Head of Operations to ensure the efficient management of our offices and facilities. Monitor and manage building maintenance, health and safety standards, procurement, utilities, and cleanliness. Coordinate room reservations and office schedules to optimize operational efficiency.

Support for Operational Practices:
Assist the Head of Operations in organizing orientation and training for new trustees, staff, and volunteers. Take charge of health and safety protocols for all personnel in both office and remote environments. Aid the Head of Operations in ensuring compliance with mandatory training and development for staff and volunteers.

Provide support to the leadership team as required, particularly in staff case management and assisting the Volunteer Coordinator with various projects.


Business Development Assistance:
Collaborate with the Head of Operations and Finance Officer to manage petty cash in accordance with organizational policies.

  • Respond to inquiries regarding Safety Net's services from diverse sources. Maintain the organization's branding standards among staff, volunteers, and trustees to ensure consistent and high-quality communication both internally and externally.

Support for Service Delivery:

Work closely with the Head of Operations to maintain essential documentation for the effective operation of our services, including referral forms, templates, notes, and correspondence. Manage the case management system by entering new referrals, updating statuses, and maintaining client information.


Data Management and Reporting Support:
Assist the Head of Operations in collecting and generating statistics, records, and reports required by funding bodies. Support the Head of Strategy and Development and Finance Officer in maintaining the fundraising database.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Relevant business administration qualification.
  • Proficient computing skills, including experience with databases, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Practical experience in office administration.
  • Familiarity with data collection, monitoring, and reporting processes.
  • Health and Safety/Risk Assessment/First Aid qualifications or training.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including a professional telephone demeanor.
  • Valid driving license and access to transportation.
  • Ability to engage with sensitive topics related to domestic and sexual abuse.
  • Commitment to inclusivity and the overall development of the organization.
  • Willingness to participate in supervision, training, and ongoing professional development.
