Pendle Support is a family run business providing quality support in the community to adults and children with Learning Disabilities within the East Lancashire areas of Pendle, Burnley, Hyndburn and Rossendale.


We are seeking someone who is a good communicator and who has excellent organisational skills with a caring attitude for others.

Someone who can overcome problems logically and enjoy supporting and helping people.


Being a Rota Coordinator at Pendle Support is a great opportunity to provide consistent person-centred coordinated care to our service users.

As part of the support team you will be required to:

  • Create support worker rotas
  • Listen to and support the team of support workers with their requirements.
  • Manage visits and allocate shifts for service users.
  • Communicate with service users and their families to ensure they are happy with the support received
  • Understand service user needs in order to appropriately match carers to meet these needs
  • Change visits for staff when sickness or other problems arise
  • Keep continuity for service users and use a small a team of regular support workers as much as possible
  • Monitor and manage unassigned visits
  • Answer incoming phone calls relating to general enquiries as well as rota queries
  • Ability to resource and monitor care packages whilst matching care staff to clients in a person centred approach
  • Ability to cover any support required if no other options are available
  • Deal with and action any day to day queries that arise with service users care
  • Schedule any changes to existing service users packages of support
  • Communicate with carers and families to let them know about any actions taken that may impact on service delivery.
  • Help coordinate new staff induction and shadowing shifts with staff and colleagues.
  • To assist and formulate new packages of support where required
  • To assist the manager in all aspects of care management as appropriate
  • To take part in the Oncall Service on a rotational basis

Abilities:

  • Have a flexible working approach
  • Ability to work to deadlines
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Great organisational skills with ability to prioritise workload
  • Ability to change and adapt, respond to changing circumstances
  • Ability to solve problems under pressure
  • Ability to liaise with social services and all other professional bodies
  • Experience in working in Domiciliary Care preferred but not essential
  • Must have own transport and full driving licence
