Job summary

Newport Pagnell Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for an administrator to join our busy practice, supporting our complaints manager and HR function, on a part-time basis for 20 hours per week.

Main duties of the job

Investigating and drafting responses for complaints within the requirements of the practice's complaint procedure. Providing cover for the office administrator when required, including taking minutes, organising agendas & acknowledging complaints. Assisting with the management, coordination and organisation of practice events. Assisting with the administration of HR processes for staff such as appraisals, sickness, recruitment of staff and any staff changes. Supporting the HR team with mandatory HR checks, performance management, staff induction checks and all other day to day HR duties.

Experience

Essential

Experienced administrators, with excellent IT and typing skills. Adaptable and friendly, with strong administration, time management and organisational skills. Excellent communicators able to work in a confidential and discreet manner. Able to "think on their feet" in a busy working environment. Able to multi-task, work hard and maintain a high level of attention to detail, when under pressure. Able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, as well as comfortable working independently. Some flexibility is required as you will sometimes need to work additional or alternative hours to cover for colleagues.
