Centre Administrator Job Description



We are seeking an experienced Centre Administrator to join our team at British Land. As a key member of our Centre Management Team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to our Centre Manager and ensuring the smooth operation of the centre.



Key Responsibilities


  • Provide administrative support to the Centre Manager, including preparing reports, managing email and phone communications, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manage the centre's business systems, including financial management, budgeting, and procurement.
  • Act as the main point of contact for the centre and its associated buildings, responding to occupiers' queries and resolving any issues that may arise.
  • Collaborate with the Centre Team to achieve business objectives and improve centre performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with occupiers, service partners, and stakeholders to ensure excellent customer service and promote the centre's reputation.
  • Perform routine administrative tasks, including answering telephones, scheduling meetings, and maintaining accurate contact details.
  • Support the Centre Team with ad-hoc projects and administrative tasks as required.
  • Contribute to the development of the centre's sustainability and community initiatives, including energy and waste management, and volunteering activities.


Requirements


  • High level of digital literacy and ability to learn new platforms quickly.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to interpret and understand the business and deliver quality output to strict deadlines.
  • Strong experience of Microsoft Office packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Articulate communicator with both verbal and written skills.
  • Confident and initiative-taking multi-tasker with an ability to demonstrate professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality at all times.
  • Desirable skills include experience of working in a facilities, retail, or property management environment, and knowledge of Health & Safety / Fire Safety policies and procedures.
