Research Scientist, Medicinal Chemistry Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our dynamic team at Bicycle Therapeutics. As a key member of our Medicinal Chemistry team, you will be responsible for designing and synthesizing novel Bicycles and conjugates to develop lead candidates for our oncology pipeline.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and synthesis of bioactive Bicycle peptides to meet Target Product Profiles
- Collaborate with project teams to progress our oncology pipeline
- Manage external resources to deliver on synthetic and analytical tasks
- Present research results effectively to line managers, project teams, and management-level meetings
- Coordinate chemistry activities at external contract research organizations (CROs)
- Prepare reports and contribute to drafting patent filings and journal manuscripts
**Requirements:**
- Relevant industry or academic experience in contemporary medicinal chemistry and peptide design
- Experience in interpreting SAR data and managing external resources
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
