Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Scientist to join our dynamic Medicinal Chemistry team at Bicycle Therapeutics. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and synthesizing novel Bicycles and conjugates to develop lead candidates.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage external resources to deliver on synthetic and analytical tasks
  • Collaborate with the scientific team to progress Bicycle's oncology pipeline
  • Design and synthesize novel Bicycles and conjugates
  • Contribute to the chemical optimization of Bicycle monomers
  • Coordinate chemistry at external contract research organizations (CROs)
  • Prepare reports and contribute to drafting patent filings and journal manuscripts
Requirements
  • Relevant industry or academic experience in contemporary medicinal chemistry
  • Experience in interpreting SAR data desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in managing external resources
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
  • Innovative and entrepreneurial mindset
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in peptide chemistry research
  • Experience in developing drug conjugates or radiopharmaceuticals
  • Use of structure-based drug design and computational modeling
