About This Role:

Penguin Random House seeks an experienced Payroll Process Specialist to contribute to our payroll team.

As part of this team, you will process payroll for all starters and leavers across all payrolls, manage sick leave and absence management, and perform various ad-hoc tasks.

Our ideal candidate has strong analytical skills and can work effectively under pressure. They have excellent communication skills and can collaborate with HR colleagues to ensure seamless payroll operations.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Process payroll for new hires and terminations.
  2. Manage sick leave and absence management across multiple payrolls.
  3. Perform ad-hoc payroll calculations and data changes for employees.
  4. Verify monthly input from senior analysts and prepare payrolls for submission.
  5. Assist with other payroll-related tasks as required.
Skills and Qualifications:
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel.
  • Knowledge of payroll systems (Payrite/FMP IRIS preferred).
Salary and Benefits:

Competitive salary: circa £26,000 per annum, depending on experience.
