We are seeking a skilled Payroll Operations Specialist to join our progressive team at East Suffolk and North Essex NHS Foundation Trust.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to work in a large NHS organisation, delivering high-quality service to over 12,000 staff. As a Payroll Operations Specialist, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate payroll records, investigating issues, and providing exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Participate in bite-sized training sessions to enhance your knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate payroll records for all employees, ensuring timely and accurate payment.
  • Routinely investigate issues, propose solutions, and implement changes to improve payroll processes.
  • Actively support employees with pay-related queries, including parental leave pay, overpayments, and underpayments.
  • Work closely with payroll and pension colleagues, as well as wider finance colleagues, to deliver a high standard of service.

Requirements
  • GCSE grade 5/C or equivalent in English and Maths.
  • Relevant experience to degree level, preferably in payroll administration or a related field.
  • NVQ level 3 in administration/secretarial or equivalent.
  • Degree in Business Studies or a related field.
