Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Payroll Analyst to join our client for a full-time, fixed-term position of 6 months (majority remote). The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes during this time.

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Perform daily payroll tasks, including backfilling roles to support team members during Testing and Parallel run phases.
    • Monitor and manage the shared mailbox for payroll enquiries.
    • Conduct complex calculations for Maternity Leave, Long-Term Sickness (LTS), Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), and employee departures.
    • Oversee all ad hoc data, pension and benefit changes across a dozen payrolls, including one weekly payroll and two pensioner payrolls.
    • Raise ad hoc advances and process third-party payments.
    • Conduct system audits between HR and payroll systems.
    • Complete month-end payroll controls before payroll release.
    • Generate payroll reports at month-end.
About You:

We are looking for an individual with extensive experience within a payroll department. Advanced experience using Microsoft and Excel is also required. Prior experience from a payroll Bureau background and experience with Payrite FMP/IRIS would be beneficial.
