Payroll Operations Specialist

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Senior Payroll Analyst to join our client's finance team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. Working majority remotely, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes during this time.

  • Your Key Responsibilities Will Include:
    • Managing daily payroll tasks, including backfilling roles to support team members during Testing and Parallel run phases.
    • Monitoring and managing the shared mailbox for payroll enquiries.
    • Conducting complex calculations for Maternity Leave, Long-Term Sickness (LTS), Statutory Sick Pay (SSP), and employee departures.
    • Overseeing all ad hoc data, pension and benefit changes across a dozen payrolls, including one weekly payroll and two pensioner payrolls.
    • Raising ad hoc advances and processing third-party payments.
    • Conducting system audits between HR and payroll systems.
    • Completing month-end payroll controls before payroll release.
    • Generating payroll reports at month-end.
About You:

We require an individual with extensive experience within a payroll department, advanced experience using Microsoft and Excel, and prior experience from a payroll Bureau background and experience with Payrite FMP/IRIS would be beneficial.
