About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chef to join our team at Sandstone Care Group. As a Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional culinary standards to our residents, providing nutritious and well-balanced meals in a clean and safe environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Preparation: Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents.
  • Catering Budget Management: Work with our finance team to manage the catering budget and ensure cost-effective food procurement.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain high standards of food safety and quality, ensuring that all food is prepared and served in a clean and hygienic environment.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and support a team of kitchen staff, providing guidance and training to ensure that they are equipped to deliver exceptional culinary standards.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels, ensuring that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet the demands of our residents.
Requirements
  • Experience: Proven experience working in a busy kitchen environment, with a strong track record of delivering exceptional culinary standards.
  • Culinary Skills: A passion for producing fresh, home-cooked food from scratch, with a strong understanding of recipe costing and food budgeting.
  • Leadership Skills: A friendly and enthusiastic disposition, with the ability to integrate well with others and lead a team of kitchen staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Good organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Certifications: Food Hygiene Level 2 or equivalent, with a willingness to undertake further training and development.
