About the Role

We are seeking enthusiastic and resilient Support Workers with good communication skills to join our team at Autism Initiatives. As an Autism Support Specialist, you will work alongside people who use our services, supporting them in a range of activities, including developing independence in daily living, accessing work/education, and leisure activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with autism in daily living activities, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
  • Assist individuals in accessing work, education, and leisure activities, promoting independence and social inclusion.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with individuals, families, and other professionals, ensuring a person-centered approach.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized support plans, promoting the well-being and empowerment of individuals.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices in autism support.
