We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Oakfield House School, a leading provider of education and care for pupils with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support pupils with autism and complex needs in a primary school setting, helping them to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
  • Assist with the preparation of learning materials and activities, ensuring that they are tailored to meet the individual needs of each pupil.
  • Provide emotional and physical support to pupils, helping them to develop their social and emotional skills.

Requirements

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths, and grade C or above in English or equivalent.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of pupils, with a thorough understanding of child protection policies and procedures.
