About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a Further Education College in Preston. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will provide support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities, those with special educational needs and disabilities, and those with literacy and numeracy needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide learning support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities, including those with SEND requirements.
  • Support students on work-placements and on Supported Internship, traineeship, and apprenticeship programmes in the workplace.
  • Work within the college's Inclusive Learning department to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements
  • GCSE English and Maths C or above.
  • Experience of supporting people in a caring capacity or educational capacity.
  • DBS on the Update Service.
