Aboriginal Community Liaison

We are seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal Community Liaison to join our team at OpenHire Support Test Company. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal communities in Saskatchewan.
Key Responsibilities:
- Liaise between our scientists, engineers, and managers and Aboriginal communities
- Assist in providing smart science solutions to communities in the area of Environment and Forestry and other program areas
- Travel within Saskatchewan will be required
Primary Focus:
Your primary focus will be working with Aboriginal communities to ensure the successful delivery of Project CLEANS - the cleanup of 38 abandoned sites in the Athabasca Basin in northern Saskatchewan.
Requirements:
- Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
- Broad-based knowledge of Aboriginal organizations, institutions, political and social issues, particularly in northern Saskatchewan communities
- Ability to build links between science, traditional knowledge, and program delivery
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience working with Saskatchewan Aboriginal communities
Education:
A degree in Science, Commerce, or Business Administration, or an equivalent amount of experience.
