Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aboriginal Community Liaison to join our team at the Saskatchewan Research Council. As a key member of our Environment and Forestry Division, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with Aboriginal communities, ensuring the successful delivery of Project CLEANS, and engaging in business development and community outreach.

Key Responsibilities

  • Liaise between scientists, engineers, and managers and Aboriginal communities
  • Assist in providing smart science solutions to communities in Environment and Forestry and other program areas
  • Travel within Saskatchewan to engage with Aboriginal communities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Aboriginal organizations and institutions

Requirements

  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills
  • Broad-based knowledge of Aboriginal organizations, institutions, and social issues
  • Ability to build links between science, traditional knowledge, and program delivery
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience working with Saskatchewan Aboriginal communities
