About the role
When you choose to join us, youre choosing more than just a job. youre choosing to make a difference
We are currently looking to build on our already successful Criminal Justice Recovery Coordination teams, with an opportunity for a Police Liaison Worker to join us at our Bishop Auckland Service, in County Durham.
Our teams provide support for individuals who are experiencing problematic substance use.
Our Liaison Worker role will ensure that we are able to provide specialist, tailored support to enable service users to make positive changes and afford us the knowledge and resources to be able to reach and engage people with a range of needs within our communities.
As a Police Liaison Worker, you will work closely with Police colleagues to support members of the public, who may have transgressed the law, but do not require prosecution. You will offer advice, support and guidance to these people around the dangers of drug and alcohol misuse.
With support from the Harm Minimisation Lead and Outreach Worker, you will offer tailored guidance in minimising harmful behaviour and, if require, support those into service should they need more substantial support. You will take a whole person holistic approach, ensuring that every service users package of care encompasses all areas of their wellbeing, not just their substance use, to achieve the best possible outcomes for every person.
