As the Workforce Optimisation Officer, you will Use, maintain and optimises the contact management workforce optimisation platform (and any other relevant system) on a daily basis to ensure that there are sufficient resources available to meet contact and operational service levels to the best of the Force abilities.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Uses the contact management workforce optimisation software (Verint i360) to produce operational workforce schedules for FCR staff. These will be in 15-minute intervals and will ensure that FCR teams have highly detailed work schedules showing all activities on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis.
- Assesses all requests for FCR staff time to assess and minimise the impact of PDR meetings, training, briefings and any activities on the predicted service levels. Optimise schedules on a daily basis to account for staff time requests, whilst delivering the optimal service to the public.
- Completes daily exception analysis where FCR staff have not adhered to the published schedule. Authorises exceptions where appropriate and where appropriate challenges supervisors in regard to none adherence of their staff to the schedule.
- Attends local pacesetter daily to ensure that all work schedules will meet the operational need and where appropriate will amend to ensure that all FCR activities are managed and maintained appropriately.
- Attends weekly Crime Resolution Team (CRT) and Demand Resolution Team (DRT) resourcing meetings to review predicted SLA performance and future schedules, highlighting areas for concern and proposing best action for optimised service delivery across all contact channels and workflows.
- Works with the FCR Analyst and HR Operational Partner to proactively investigate new ways of recruiting and scheduling to improve service levels.
- Conducts scenario planning activities to consider the impact of operational change before it is implemented. This will assist and inform the FCR SLT and Force decision making, and lead to better understanding of the impact various decisions will have on short
- and long-term performance.
- Provides expert support and guidance to the FCR leadership team in regard to best use of systems to ensure the optimal outcomes are achieved for both staff and public service SLA’s.
- Assess impact of short notice leave and flexible working requests for FCR supervision to ensure that decisions take into account both staff wellbeing and Force performance.
- Maintains FCR leave calendars and allocations to ensure that policy is appropriate to the role and that leave requests are handled in a timely manner.
- Advertises, allocates and authorises overtime requests within agreed budgets, whilst ensuring best value for money for the Force.
- Maintains all other Duty Management processes and systems in regard to the FCR operation to complete Force business.

- Experience of working in a clerical field, incorporating record keeping, telephone work etc

- Excellent organisational skills
- Ability to work with minimum supervision when required.
- Carries out tasks in an accurate and methodical manner with an eye for detail.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to prioritise workload.
