**JOB SUMMARY**

In order to guarantee timely delivery, the department's workforce strategy calls for the planning and implementation of certain projects and/or workstreams.

**JOB DESCRIPTION**
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:

- Work together with senior managers (such as Heads of Service and Service Managers) and other council colleagues (such as HR and Transformation) to find and assess possible prospects for creative ways to draw in and keep employees.
- To make sure the council gets the most recent information about the market, do frequent research and benchmarking on the compensation packages provided by other councils. Use this information to guide the ongoing assessment of the current recruitment and retention policies.
- In order to guide the decision-making process for recruiting and retention arrangements, evaluate the success of recruitment and retention arrangements by looking at the results of recruitment activity, employee turnover, and retention rates.
- Assist in creating business cases and providing information, data, and analysis for reports that support recommendations made to decision-making bodies.

**THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE**
- Understanding of project management methodologies
- Familiarity with electronic calendaring software, such as Group Wise, Microsoft Outlook, Lotus, and Notes
- Experience meeting deadlines and producing the necessary results for projects and/or initiatives
- Working knowledge of multidisciplinary teams
