School Liaison Officer

At Transport for Wales, we're seeking a highly skilled School Liaison Officer to join our team. As a key member of our community outreach team, you will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong working partnerships with local schools and colleges.
The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organisational skills, with the ability to remain calm and responsible under pressure. You will also have a strong understanding of the importance of rules, regulations, and strict instructions.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining and developing a strong working partnership with specified local schools and colleges
- Ensuring the safe and orderly conduct of students attending Harlech and Tywyn schools and Pwllheli college while travelling on TFW services/stations during school term times
- Assisting high schools with the issuing of pupil travel passes as required at the beginning of the September school term
- Assisting Conductors on train services as required out of school term times
- Assisting TFW in operating trains in a safe and timely manner and to provide help and information to all customers
- Maintaining a high profile, being proactive in preventing anti-social behaviour on TFW services
- Engaging with local schools and colleges delivering rail safety and behaviour expectations
- Assisting with local event planning and promoting TFW services
