About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Wigan Council as a Population Wellness Director. We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead our efforts in improving population wellness and reducing health inequalities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve population wellness and reduce health inequalities.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver public health initiatives and secure funding opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to promote public health initiatives.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness and inform future strategy.

Requirements:

A degree in Public Health or a related field and at least 5 years of experience in a similar position are required for this role. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team, are essential. A salary of £75,000 - £85,000 per annum is commensurate with experience.
