Job Summary

We are looking for a creative and forward-thinking public health professional to lead the implementation of our ambitious public health vision for Wigan. The successful candidate will have a proven ability to combine professional excellence with determination to deliver radical and sustainable impact on population health and wellness.

About the Role

The Health Transformation Specialist will be responsible for delivering our vision to improve health outcomes and reduce health inequalities through innovative and evidence-based approaches. This will involve working across organisational and professional boundaries to stimulate commitment to public health outcomes and prevention.

The role requires a strong understanding of public health principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and project management skills. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate our Team Wigan behaviours and prove their right to work in the UK.

Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Degree in a relevant field (e.g. Public Health, Health Promotion, Epidemiology)
  • Proven experience in public health policy development and implementation
  • Strong understanding of health inequalities and their impact on population health
  • Excellent communication and project management skills

What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working arrangements, training and development opportunities, and a comprehensive pension scheme.
