We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team as a Highly Specialised MSK Paediatric Physiotherapist. This is a fixed-term part-time role, covering maternity leave, and will provide an excellent opportunity to work with a supportive team and develop your clinical leadership skills.
Main DutiesAs a Paediatric Physiotherapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children with musculo-skeletal conditions. You will work closely with our Advanced Practitioner, additional Band 7 specialist physio, and split post Band 6 physio to provide comprehensive care to our patients.
You will also be involved in the supervision and line management of students, supporting junior colleagues and peers within the adult MSK teams, and contributing to the development of regional pathways and business development.
About the RoleThis is an excellent opportunity to work in a supportive team environment, with a strong commitment to personal and professional development. You will have access to an embedded in-service training programme, clinical and leadership supervision, mentoring, and appraisal.
The successful candidate will have advanced communication and organisational skills, sound knowledge and experience in the management of a wide range of MSK paediatric conditions, and the ability to contribute to effective team working.
Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a Degree or Diploma in Physiotherapy, Health Professions Council Registration, and evidence of relevant specialist paediatric MSK postgraduate CPD. You will also have significant post-qualification experience in neurology, orthopaedics, and MSK, with a minimum of 2 years experience at Band 6 level combining MSK and paediatric specialist physiotherapy.
Desirable skills include experience of presentation delivery of clinical data, high-level clinical assessment, treatment, and clinical reasoning, and the ability to contribute to the development of clinical pathways and service.
