Highly Specialised Paediatric Physiotherapist

We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Paediatric Physiotherapist to join our team as a Musculo-Skeletal (MSK) Specialist. This is a fixed-term, part-time role to cover maternity leave, working 15 hours per week across multiple sites.
Main DutiesAs a Band 7 clinical leader, you will support the supervision and line management of students, developing their skills in paediatric assessment and management within MSK. You will also work alongside experienced MSK clinicians, including advanced practitioners, to develop regional pathways and identify areas for business development.
You will be responsible for supporting junior colleagues and peers within the adult MSK teams, as well as liaising with other providers of paediatric healthcare in East Sussex. This role will give you the opportunity to understand the needs of MSK paediatric care across the region.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a candidate with a degree or diploma in physiotherapy, registered with the Health Professions Council, and with evidence of relevant specialist paediatric MSK postgraduate CPD. You should have significant knowledge and experience in this specialised area of physiotherapy practice.
Desirable qualifications include postgraduate learning, such as Masters modules or PG certificates, in clinical physiotherapy or working with other healthcare professionals to develop clinical pathways and services.
ExperienceWe are looking for a candidate with significant post-qualification experience in clinical background in neurology, orthopaedics, and MSK. You should have experience in MSK and paediatric MSK rehabilitation in primary or secondary care, and a minimum of 2 years' experience at Band 6 level combining MSK and paediatric specialist physiotherapy.
Desirable experience includes presentation delivery of clinical data and experience of motivational interviewing/behaviour change training.
SkillsWe are looking for a candidate with high-level clinical assessment, treatment, and clinical reasoning skills relating to the specialist Paediatric MSK physiotherapy role. You should be able to contribute, promote, and influence effective team working using a range of communication skills, including negotiation and teaching.
Good interpersonal skills, both written and oral, are essential. Desirable skills include flexible communication and leadership skills to support team development and training.
