Paediatric Nursing Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Sister/Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualised care to all patients, assessing care needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating them without supervision.
Key duties include assisting the matrons in supporting the nursing team in regard to paediatric nursing care, monitoring standards of paediatric nursing care, responding to patients and their relatives/carers concerns, and providing ongoing referrals for support/treatments when necessary in the community.
The ideal candidate will have broad and relevant post-registration experience, a mentorship qualification, and be educated to degree level. They will also possess excellent leadership skills, be able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team, and have experience of working in a busy and dynamic environment.

Person Specification
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:
- Registered Children's Nurse with active registration
- Mentorship Qualification
- Educated to degree level
- EPALS/APLS certificate
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/training in paediatrics
- Child protection qualification (or to complete in post)
- Broad and relevant post-registration experience
- Extensive experience within acute Paediatric speciality
- Experience of working in a multi-disciplinary team
