About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Sister to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, individualised care to children and their families.
Main Responsibilities
- To assess care needs and develop, implement, and evaluate individualised care plans without supervision.
- To assist the matrons in supporting the nursing team in regard to paediatric nursing care.
- To monitor standards of paediatric nursing care and take appropriate action to maintain and improve them.
- To respond to patients and their relatives/carers concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required.
- To provide children and carers/parents on-going referrals for support/treatments when necessary in the community.

Person Specification
- Registered Children's Nurse with active registration.
- Mentorship Qualification.
- Educated to degree level.
- EPALS/APLS certificate.
- Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses / training in speciality.
- Child protection qualification (or to complete in post).
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
- Practice Educator.
- Physical Assessment skills.
- Nurse prescriber.
- Minor injury qualification.
- Minor illness qualification.
- Emergency Nurse Practitioner qualification.
