About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Charge Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified registered Children's Nurse to take on a leadership role and contribute to the delivery of high-quality care to children and their families.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, individualised care to patients by assessing their needs and developing, implementing, and evaluating their care plans.
  • Assist the matrons in supporting the nursing team in regard to paediatric nursing care, monitoring standards of paediatric nursing care, and taking action to maintain and improve them.
  • Respond to patients' and their relatives'/carers' concerns as they arise and take remedial action as required.
  • Provide children and carers/parents with ongoing referrals for support/treatments when necessary in the community.
Requirements
  • Registered Children's Nurse with active registration
  • Mentorship Qualification
  • EPALS/APLS certificate
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/training in speciality
  • Child protection qualification (or to complete in post)
