Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paediatric Nurse to join our dynamic team in the Emergency Department. As a Band 6 Sister/Charge Nurse, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to children and their families, working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Main Responsibilities
  • Assess and develop individualised care plans for children presenting to the Emergency Department
  • Provide expert nursing care to children with minor injuries and illnesses, utilising your knowledge of paediatric nursing and emergency care
  • Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to improve paediatric care in the Emergency Department
  • Provide education and training to junior staff and students on paediatric nursing and emergency care

  • Registered Children's Nurse with active registration
  • Mentorship Qualification
  • Educated to degree level
  • EPALS/APLS certificate
  • Evidence of relevant post-graduate courses/training in paediatric nursing
  • Child protection qualification (or to complete in post)
