Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled HR Assistant to join our team at Orion Group. This is a contract position that requires a proactive, self-motivated individual with strong organizational and time management skills.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all long-term sickness absences, including Occupational Health referrals and Group Income Protection claim submissions. They will also coach leaders in absence case management and provide support in other employee relations cases as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively manage all long-term sickness absences to include Occupational Health referrals, Group Income Protection claim submissions, and appropriate employee/leader follow-up.
  • Coach leaders in absence case management, ensuring appropriate documentation is received and stored in accordance with Company requirements.
  • Using absence trend data, collaborate with stakeholders to consider targeted interventions and development of resources.
  • Provide support in other employee relations cases during periods of high volume or absence as required.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Previous HR Assistant/Officer experience.
  • A basic understanding of employment law.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools.
