Sales Director for Luxury Apparel

About Consumer Exec:
We are seeking a highly experienced Sales Director to lead our luxury apparel business and drive growth in the wholesale channel.
Job Summary:
The Sales Director will oversee all aspects of wholesale sales, including developing relationships with major department stores, high-end multi-brand stores, and boutiques globally. This includes managing wholesale budgets, implementing strategy, and ensuring brand image at all wholesale points of sale.
Key Responsibilities:
- Wholesale Channel Management: Ensure the smooth running of the wholesale channel, including agents, to grow sales and increase sell-through performance and budgets.
- End-to-End Budget Management: Manage wholesale budgets and implement strategy to exceed expectations.
- Brand Image and Partnerships: Ensure brand image at all wholesale points of sale, including choice of partners, product assortment, and locations.
- Collaborations and Incentives: Actively seek and develop collaborations with leading luxury brands to elevate the wholesale business, and manage trade-in-season activities such as stock swaps, pop-ups, visual merchandising, incentives, store events, and personal shopping services.
- Sales Campaign Execution: Oversee the execution of international sales campaigns, including travel, showroom setup, staff management, and reporting.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Prepare weekly reports, including analysis of sales figures, forecasting future sales, managing and controlling data analysis, stock levels, best sellers, KPIs, collating Sell Through's and VM reports.
- Talent Management: Organize, manage, and develop the existing wholesale team, and recruit new talent into the business when needed.
Requirements:
We are searching for an ambitious and dynamic individual with an excellent track record within sales and extensive experience in growing wholesale channels.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Luxury Fashion Experience: Extensive experience in the luxury fashion and apparel industry across menswear & preferably womenswear.
- Tactical Sales Planning: Has developed and executed tactical sales plans, including account objectives.
- Commercial Acumen: Strong commercial acumen is essential – competent with Excel and IT tools.
- Team Management: Proven track record in growing international sales and managing a team.
- Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Highly customer and results-driven, good commercial sense, excellent communication skills, able to work effectively cross-with other departments within the business.
Compensation:
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus additional benefits and bonuses based on performance.
