Mental Health Support Worker

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to join our team at Academics Ltd. As a Mental Health Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs in our specialist school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide consistent, ongoing support to children with behaviour and mental health issues
- Work alongside trained therapists, counsellors, and psychologists to develop and implement individualized support plans
- Assist in creating a safe and nurturing environment that promotes social and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless integration of mental health support into daily school activities
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge in mental health support
Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced school setting
- Passion for supporting children with Social and Emotional Mental Health Needs
What We Offer:
- Competitive daily rate of £80-£90
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 4:00pm
