About the Role

We are seeking a compassionate and resilient Specialist Mental Health Support Worker to join our Hope Place Service. You will play a vital role in supporting individuals on their recovery journey, empowering them to live fulfilling lives.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Build trusting relationships with customers and foster a positive environment.
  • Facilitate engaging group workshops on mental health dynamics and well-being.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of new customers, incorporating relevant information from referrals.
  • Deliver innovative and engaging key work sessions to achieve Support Plan goals.
  • Develop personalized support plans based on ongoing assessments and available resources.
  • Manage risks associated with customers while promoting a positive risk-taking approach.
  • Provide support and guidance to help customers continue their recovery and manage their medication effectively.
  • Collaborate with external stakeholders to enhance service outcomes.
  • Contribute to a supportive team environment and share best practices.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience working with individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • A compassionate and empathetic approach to supporting others.
