Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tour Leader Training Manager to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for hiring and training trip leaders, coaching them in tour quality and excellence, and managing relationships with vendors and trip leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hire and train trip leaders to deliver high-quality tours of Great Britain
  • Coach trip leaders in tour quality and excellence, ensuring they meet company guidelines and achieve excellence goals
  • Carry out trip leader performance management, evaluating their performance and providing feedback for improvement
  • Create and schedule a strong, high-performing trip leader team that embodies the company's culture and values
  • Manage relationships with trip leaders and vendors, ensuring seamless tour delivery and development
  • Evaluate and act on quality issues from traveler and trip leader feedback, ensuring continuous improvement
  • Support trip delivery and development, working closely with the operations team
  • Report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to the head office, providing insights for business growth and improvement
  • Travel with trip leaders and groups, providing coaching and support as needed
  • Interact with travelers on site, gathering feedback and providing support to trip leaders
  • Drive performance in a fast-paced environment, working under pressure to deliver results
  • Provide 24/7 emergency support, resolving operations and customer issues promptly

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of the UK and its culture
  • Ability to work as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals
  • Strong training and coaching skills, with experience in performance management
  • Proven experience in the travel industry, with a focus on staff management and quality assurance
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and vendors
  • Fluency in written and spoken English, with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
