Job Title: Tour Leader Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tour Leader Manager to join our team at Grand Circle Corporation. As a Tour Leader Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of tour leaders to deliver high-quality tours of Great Britain.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hiring and Training: Hire and train tour leaders to deliver in-depth tours of Great Britain, ensuring they meet the company's guidelines and excellence goals.
  • Coaching and Performance Management: Coach tour leaders in tour quality and performance management to ensure they meet the company's standards.
  • Team Management: Create and schedule a strong, high-performing team of tour leaders who embody the company's culture and values.
  • Relationship Management: Manage relationships with tour leaders and vendors to ensure smooth tour operations.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate and act on quality issues from traveler and tour leader feedback to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Support and Reporting: Provide support to tour delivery and development, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to head office.

Requirements:

  • Strong Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the UK and its culture.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate with colleagues.
  • Training and Coaching: Strong training and coaching skills to develop tour leaders.
  • Performance Management: Experience in performance management and staff development.
  • Travel Industry Experience: Proven experience in the travel industry, with a focus on tour operations and management.
  • Communication and Problem-Solving: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in written and spoken English.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
